What is Spin Forged?
IT’S ALL ABOUT INNOVATION
Rotary Forged or Spin Forged is the technology of Flow Forming a wheel and is one of the most innovative manufacturing processes to enter the wheel industry.ย This complex process involves the application of heat and pressure to the inner barrel of the wheel, stretching and compressing the aluminum, which increases the tensile strength of the barrel.ย ย This development shares similar properties to those found in the forging method.
The final product is lighter, stronger and has improved shock resistance as well as an increased load capacity over regular cast wheels.ย The major difference between cast and flow-formed wheels is in the thickness of the wheel barrel.ย ย The flow forming process increases the strength of the aluminum allowing the barrel to be made much thinner and lighter than a regular cast wheel.
STEP 1
A specially designed aluminum cast is created with the barrel ready to be Flow Formed.
STEP 2
The wheel now spins at a high rate as it gets heated to allow for the stretching of the material.
STEP 3
Once heated, the rollers press onto the barrel in a downward motion to the required width of the wheel.
STEP 4
As this process finishes, the aluminum strengthens giving the wheel higher impact tolerance.
Fully Pre-Programmed TPMS Sensors โ FIT AND FORGETโฆ
STEP 1 โ ORDER
Order your TPMS sensors by selecting your carโs make, model, and year. After you place your order, we will carefully program each sensor specifically for your vehicle. This isnโt a one-size-fits-all processโeach sensor is customized just for you. Weโve put a lot of effort into making this process easy and straightforward.
STEP 2 โ FIT
Have your new TPMS sensors installed by any experienced tyre fitter. Our Automate sensors will automatically sync with the Control Module through a handshake between your vehicle and our sensors. However, some car manufacturers might require you to return to them for programming. Our Automate sensors eliminate that hassle. Weโll provide detailed instructions with your order, or you can find programming instructions for each vehicle make and model on our website.
Additionally, a programming cloning sensor tool is available as an add-on to make everything more convenient.
STEP 3 โ DRIVE
Just drive your vehicle โ To complete the operation, all that is needed is to drive the vehicle. Yes! It really is that easy! On average it takes around 15 minutes on a steady drive to allow the new pre-programmed sensors to communicate back to the vehicleโs systems. Voila! Your TPMS warning light will now be extinguished.
